Intro: A Word From the Organizers
For decades Southern Ontario has been renowned as an aviation centre. As an aviation training centre known throughout the world for its' role in the Commonwealth Air Training Plan during WWII, to some of the best-attended and most spectacular air shows in the world.
In addition, Southern Ontario is famous for its' automobile production facilities and its on-going love affair with the great classic cars of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
We propose to combine these two passions in a show called "Wings & Wheels", exhibiting the beauty and grace of some of the world's most spectacular aircraft, including the world's best military aerobatic team - the Canadian Forces "Snowbirds"- with a selection of elite classic cars and Canadian Forces military vehicles on and over the runways of St Thomas Municipal Airport.
